Roadshows for the future of health and care needs in OX12

Date: 26 April 2019

Wantage

The OX12 Stakeholder Reference Group has been set up to bring together patients, carers and the public from the local community with partners of the Oxfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB) to ensure public views and experiences are taken into account in the implementation of Oxfordshire’s Population Health and Care Needs Framework in the postcode area of OX12.

The work of the OX12 Stakeholder Reference Group, covers Wantage, Grove and the surrounding villages.

We are working to find out what services (NHS, Social Care, and groups, clubs, activities) are currently being used by people living in the OX12 postcode area. We want to know where those services are provided from and where people have to travel to access them.

A survey launched on 2 April to help gather this information, which will be used to help shape the way services are planned and delivered to in the future.

We are now running a series of roadshows, to encourage people to complete the survey.  The public are invited to come along and find out more about the project.  Events are being held in the following locations:

  • Friday 26 April: Hanney:  Hanney War Memorial Hall,  3pm – 5.30pm
  • Saturday 27 April: Wantage Farmers Market 9am until 2pm
  • Monday 29 April: East Hendred Community centre, Snells Hall, 4pm – 6pm
  • Tuesday 30 April: Grove Village Hall 3pm-5pm
  • Friday 3 May: Wantage:  The Mix, 5pm – 7pm

Julie Mabberley, Chair of the Stakeholder reference group, said: "This survey is very important to ensure that we have the voice of the residents as part of the study so we need to encourage everyone to complete it’’.

The survey launched on Tuesday 2 April 2019 and is available at this link:
