Dental Services

NHS dentists can provide all the treatment that is necessary in order to keep your teeth and gums healthy. This includes treatments such as fillings, dentures, crowns and bridges.

To find a NHS dental practice in Oxfordshire that is convenient to you, whether it's near your home or work, visit the NHS website.

Dental Emergencies

If you think you need urgent care, contact your usual dentist as a first step as some practices offer emergency dental slots and will provide care if clinically necessary.

You can also contact the NHS 111 service by phoning 111 at any time of day, who will assess you and put you in touch with an urgent dental service.

Out-of-hours Dental Emergencies

If you need urgent dental care when dental practices are closed (evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays), please phone 111 who will assess you and help to arrange appropriate advice and treatment with an out-of-hours dentist if needed.

This service is for people with urgent or emergency needs only and therefore does not provide routine care or repeat appointments. The emergency dentist will only deal with the problem at hand and provide clinically necessary treatment to stop any pain. An urgent dental treatment will always be charged at Band 1 (£19.70) – see NHS dental charges explained
